Is this a brca rule or a Motorsports UK rule?

It's both

its actually from government, who have passed it to the sports authorities in order for them to do what they can do.
so as we fall under the MSUK banner they pass it to us and we follow it.

Does that apply to everyone my lad has prescribed heart condition and wearing a mask is not ideal

Going car racing isnt a necessity so I believe the rule is if you cant wear a mask dont go

Let's not start having stupid debates about the ins and outs of covid. Wear a mask and enjoy the racing or dont go simple

Agree, cant believe its even a discussion point..

Maybe an argument can be made wearing one inside. It seems a little bit unnecessary when we are outdoors though. But I'll leave it there.

Dont go car racing simple really. I doubt your local club wants people there who think like this. The club will be at risk if someone complains

There is nothing stopping you going car racing just wear a mask. Stick to Twitter with you anti vax pals might be best

when you post something relevant to the discussion ill make more effort to reply, but posting something that happened in the USA is not.


simple fact here, if you don't believe in wearing a mask to go racing, stay home and stay safe.....

I don’t understand why this is even a discussion. It’s really simple.

If you want to race you wear a mask all day. If you don’t/won’t then you can’t race.

Regardless of your expert medical theories on mask use during a global pandemic.

I heard 2 drivers walked away from a meeting today as mask wearing wasn't enforced, ultimately the wrong ones lost out there.

As a club organiser myself, if anyone wasn't wearing a mask would tell them to leave and never come back.

Anyone not taking precautions, whatever they might think, shows a total lack of respect to your fellow racers, and no respect to the club's organisers.
