Gateshead Model Car Club now meets at Benfield school, Benfield Road, Newcastle on Friday nights 6.30 till 10. (Not on 18/1) Come along and see what's what. Everyone's welcome.

Alternative is Newcastle RC Racers who meet at TyneMet College on the Coast Road Mondays 7-10pm. Depends on which nights are best which will suit you but they're the two most local. Or Dynamix which is outdoor buggies in gateshead its self - not sure their times or days.
Pop along to Benfield or Tynemet and you'll be made very welcome:)

Best Offroad Indoor Racing Alternative !!!

Another alternative club is on a Sunday night at Seaham Youth Centre from 6pm-10pm, IMHO the best indoor racing club in the north east ;)

All newcomers of all abilities are welcome, so pop along and see what our club is like, also plenty of videos on YouTube !!!

:)

or how about the BarleyMow club that race at Birtley every Sunday night.
10th touring cars and mardave/GT12 are the classes raced at the moment on a brand new carpet.
Suggest you visit all the clubs mentioned and see whats suits you best

Or barley mow indeed, all depends what and when you want to race. Enjoyed some good carpet racing there occasionally as a treat when I manage to get the odd Sunday night pass out!:)

It all depends what class you want to race.
Off road buggy, or on road cars.
What would you prefer?

lazysurfer 18-01-2013 08:53 AM

Correct me if I'm wrong but classes raced are as follows I think

Seaham - Buggy 2 & 4WD

Dynamix - Buggy (outdoor permanent track)

Benfield - Buggy (mixed surface?)

Barley Mow - 1/10th Touring Cars, 1/12th Mardave TC's & 1/12 Carpet Racers (all race on carpet)

TyneMet - 1/10 TC's and Buggies with jumps/rumbles for buggies (wooden floor)
