Shock O rings recommendations.
After some better shock O rings than the standard DEX210's. Standard ones are not leaking and ok but are just a bit tight on the shafts. Don't want to go to the other extreme and have overly weepy ones either if possible!

the new purple ones seem really smooth
|
I've been using the kyosho x rings.
no leaks so far...... oh, and some green slime |
Whities from Northy in here. All I've used for years in Tamiya, Losi and Schumacher shocks. Very smooth and no leaks.

RDRP Ultra series shock O rings are proving very popular. You get enough in a packet to rebuild 8 shocks as well....

Great thanks all

the new durango blue ones are the free - est ones out of the durango range!
|
I was running the Orange Durango ones and went to the Purple new style from Durango very nice super smooth no leaks no dirty oil but I use the Boots also.

All the new o-rings that are currently available were tested and the new purple ones were the best for smoothness and for good service life.
All the new kits are currently running the purple o-rings on the shocks. I have not had any issues with any of my shocks running these o-rings. I run boots on my 1/8th shocks but not on my 1/10th. Just making sure you clean the shock shafts and the shock body end caps will help prevent contaminated shock oil over time. |
I like the purple ones in my 410 and I like the clear ones in my 210 shocks.
|
The blue is the smoothest but the shocks have to be rebuilt/maintained more, purple is middle and clear is the least smooth but last longer according to a guy that works at TD
