just wondering what tires would be best on wet grass at telstar on sunday

Minispikes are the recommended tyre choice but I will be there with the access models shop selling tyres

but i'd recommend the fact sheet does some more testing :lol:

maybe i have been testing on the wrong type of grass,but there is a massive difference between dry ,wet and damp grass(on one of these associated kit tyres are fantastic)

Agreed there are different types of grass, also depends how long the grass is to start with, depends what the surface is like under grass, dry/damp and wet are all different tyre conditions and best of all, grass tracks evolve during the day round by round as it wears!

This is proper racing, none of this easy predicatble astro fairy stuff and will certainly sort the men from the boys... those thinking they can bolt one set of tyres on and have one set up for the whole day will be propping up the back of the field for sure :thumbsup:

I've heard that glueing blue CAT full spikes individually onto a minispike carcass and then dremelling them bald and smooth is best for long wet grass :woot:

But that's not allowed as thats a custom tyre

dBoots Multibytes are being used in the series but are not commercially available!

They are,i bought mine back in the winter ,only used them once in the rain at Coventry,think the technical term is out of stock.

Nanobytes have been available since the winter as that was my tyre of choice for indoors...

Multibytes are still prototypes as they have not been launched (despite copius amounts of begging!) and therefore are not commercially available or even listed on R.CDisco website... coming soon (for months) on dBoots website!

They are on a round the world tour shipping boat trip i reckon!

Weird, i've got multibytes for both the 2wd and the 4wd............. have done for a fair while.

Set from tower and a set from mb models. I think.

And you are 100% they are multibytes and not nanobytes?

fastrax Kourse King

Mini spike yellow if the track is hot or better if you have good time with sun and warm temperature
but wet I think that the kourse king work a little better

Fastrax bullseye tyres work well on grass as well.

I begrudged doing it but cut the inner and outer row of spikes off my Koursekings today (grass track) as my SC10 4x4 has so much steering, it seems to have helped.
The rear is still a bit loose and will happily swap on ends on me if I enter our fastest corner at the end of the straight a little hot or with a bit to much throttle.
Any suggestions?
