Transmitter info

Hi all

As an ex driver I'm looking to get my son racing.
I cannot find a middle of road transmitter.
Cheap ones are too cheap and look poor or they are too expensive!
Looking for a stick one approx £100 but cannot find anything

Any ideas?

Hi,

Nearly all the new mid range stick transmitters have disappeared.
(Sanwa Gemini etc.)

Your best option would be to look for something second hand.

This is one of the 'cheapest' stick transmitters with some options on it.

So most new racers seem to use a wheel, and mid range wheels can be had for around £100.

The Mid Range stick handset these days is the Futaba T4GRS which can be had second hand for around £200. Was a shock to me when I started racing how few stick handsets are now made.

Don’t know if your on Facebook but there’s quite a few pages for buying/selling rc gear nowadays.

Rc cars for sale in uk only
Rc stuff for sale in the uk
Rc cars for Sale strictly uk only

To name but a few.

I did see someone selling a Gemini x a couple of days on fb. As has been said, mid range(100/150)stick transmitters aren’t made now. I would avoid the code transmitters or variants of.

Let him try a stick and wheel, he may prefer wheel, which gives you a bigger choice

I’m going to give my grandson a wheel next month for his first car, we all grew up with cheap Tandy cars with sticks :)

I'm looking for stick set as I can use it if he doesn't catch on.
Shame no one has filled the market
