SupaStox motor/drive side??

Just built up my Supastox, running HW Excerun and a HPi 13.5t motor. With this speedo I only seem to be able to get the motor running in the correct direction of rotation by mounting it with the Spur/pinion drive on the left side (from the rear) i.e Nearside..

Will that matter at all??

(tried reversing throttle on transmitter, and swapping phase wires on motor, its just speedo seems to "Cog" when I do that.

put it back to the offside/right and change the settings on the esc you may need a program card not sure

Male sure a to a b to b and c to c on phase wires, and recal Speedo to radio. You wil need a programe box to put it in blinky mode

Yup, all of the above, is in blinky mode, 508, Have checked the phase wiring (ABC) all good, The HW website says if the motor is running in reverse that I should swap any two of the motor wires.

(Done that, but it just cogg's the motor when applying throttle. )

Its odd, I've had the same issues with this ESC from day one.

Have you tried re installing the firmware on the speedo sometimes it helps only takess a line of code to not have gone right

My bad. just double checked what software I had installed. was actually the 508-zero-Rev (reverse motor). (No timing)

Installed the 508-No Timing, and she's running the right way... D'Oh!

Simmo 19-03-2013 12:26 PM

Hey matty,

Yeah there is a new 12th club opening in Bognor in the next month or so, GT12 and 12th only. Also giving the car its maiden voyage at Wycombe this weekend.

Fingers crossed!
