Dualsky ESC

Has anyone tried the Dualsky esc, the cheap one XC550TF-MJ. I dont have the usb link and am trying to make sense of the flashing lights and bleaping. It was running in blinky and I am trying to get it to run in one of the other profiles. I have changed the profile but dont know which one its running in. Anyone tried this sucessfully and know what they are doing!!

Yeah the instructions are a bit engrish arn't they. The way I think it works is there are 4 set-up modes, so the press the set-up button, let it go and it will beep once and flash red led once, this is for the racing profiles,

Beep twice and flash led twice, This is for the the autocell selection.

Beep three times and flash red led three times, Thats for setting the neutral brake

Beep four times and flash red led four times, Thats for setting the brake amount.

So now to set up the speed controller, Hold down the program button for three seconds and let it go, using the information above after speedo has beeped the amount of times for the programming section you want to get into, press the setup button. Now intitially the speedo will flash a green led, the amount of times it flashes signifies the current setting is on your speedo, after it has done this it will start cycling through the settings, for that programming section.

If you look in the instruction book at the set item value table it should make sense what you are prgramming. If you take the numbers in the first column as the red flashes, and then numbers on the row across the top as the green flashes, it should make sense.

I have just re-read this and it makes sense to me but may not to you. Presonally I would spend the money on the usb cable as it makes setting the speedo a lot easier, but obviously you need a laptop to do this in the field.

If you need anymore help then just drop me a PM

+1 on the USB as the button programming is not as easy as it could be!

Once I re-read the instructions for the 5th time it did make sense, its a little bit awkward with out the USB, its £20 well spent!

Any ideas on settings ?How do I set up the speedo with the 2.1 software on the XC550tf-MJ. I'm using an 8.5 turn Xcelorin motor in 2wd buggy.

Once you power up the speedo with the usb plugged in and the software running it should show on the PC as connected.
