Discharge Tray Good Bad Worth da $$$??
hey guys,
ok well i was wondering if anybody could explain exactly what a discharge/equalizer tray thing does. The more technical the better lol thanks |
A discharge/equalising tray takes each cell in a pack down to a set voltage (0.9v for example) so the pack voltage will be 5.4v for a 6 cell pack. Basically this makes the packs last longer because they then charge evenly so no cell is left over/under charged therefore no cell is over exercised so is prone to failing or under exercised therefore prone to going dull. If youcheck the voltage of each individual cell in a pack after a very normal 'charge, run' cycles they will all differ, equalising brings them back to the same.
