X Factory at worksop

I think it was a good display from the XFactory cars

In round 1 four of the top 5 cars in 2wd were X6's, mine was actually run as it came off from the F2's at east trax , I didnt change a thing all day either apart from ride height. (thanks Dan) ;)

I was a bit annoyed at myself for not making the A but thats racing, i am going to invest in some new tyres for the next event and even fit the E speed hangers

One thing i have noticed though over the last few months when i have been using borrowed cars is that you can go quick with a b4 on a single lap if it is working for you but when i went back to an X6 it just felt so much more planted and easier to drive.

Roll on '09

Lee, and that was without half of our A team there too!!!

Body Paint 01-10-2008 11:33 AM

2 x A team drivers, 7 x A finalists, not bad at all.

I wonder how many of the un-named team were there incognito?

X-factory had the joint highest number of A finalists.

X-Factory x 7
Schumacher x 7
AE x 3
Kyosho x 1
Losi x 1
J concepts x 1

Lee 01-10-2008 11:38 AM

I know of 2

But as Darren says only half of the team were there.

My X5 was pants all day  lol

Mine was good too, same as lee - straight from the F345's, lacked a bit of steering though, will be running a rear roll bar and probably softer blue front springs next time.. apart from that its pretty much ellis's oswestry setup.

REAR MOTORED CARS RULE!!!!

:p:p:p

I'm off to disinfect myself after coming into the ugly car section...

haha I'm only playing...

James 01-10-2008 05:45 PM

Haha yeh, i think the porsche style pendulum effect on the B4 defo helped in that race control hairpin section especially ..

If E has given you some set up tips you are probably safe for some time to come!!!!

Lee 02-10-2008 07:18 AM

maybe Xfactory could do a Big E edition with a fixed setup on it so everyone could be fast until ellis finds an even faster setup

that would be ace, only 1 options for shock locations, fixed metal camber links and steerings rods, sealed shocks, fixed on body with only external terminal to charger it up again

to be honest, with LiPo and brushless - that might work :woot:

the only thing that would be user serviceable would be tires, and they would come pre-mounted so they could not put the wrong inserts in them :P

Ellis is just waiting for Chazz to wake up before he puts the idea to him.

It would be the first competitive RTR

YoungChazz 02-10-2008 03:06 PM

Trust me, the idea of a Big E Championship Edition has occurred to us. Right now it's hung up on a number of issues, including but not limited to moving 20 miles into a new larger facility and getting the 60 out, two very big projects going on at the same time!
