lipo saddles

has anyone done the work to make the lipo saddles fit the pred and if so does it intail much moving things around.

You need to move the servo and battery posts, back approx 5mm and make a spacer to sit down the middle so theey can't catch the centre shaft.

i'm not far off the finished thing, what material would be advisable to use to stop the lipos hitting the centre shaft?

big_boss 24-12-2008 01:27 PM

Very stiff foam would be good.

mattym0310 24-12-2008 01:35 PM

I have used the old battery straps/bars on my stick lipo car.

Bungleaio 24-12-2008 02:08 PM

I have used 5g weights stuck to either side of the central spine

I was under the impression that the bigger trakpower (4800) & their derivatives (checkpoint) don't fit under the body shell.
