T piece

Looks like im not alone with the t piece snapping. I made one from 3mm stainless steel that i had laser cut and machined. The extra weight is great and the strenth is much improved. In running a 5.5t speed passion brushless motor with a GT2 esc so power is no issue but steering is!!

where did you have it made, and what would they cost? could be a market for them!

Paulmay79 22-08-2009 09:07 AM

i made it at work mate.

jim76 22-08-2009 09:17 AM

would you be able to run off a few? or possibly in brass?

Possilby id have to ask nicely tho. Only in stainless tho mate possibly titanium but it slightly thicker by ,2.

i believe alot of t-pieces are breaking due to the poor suspension on the madrat or incorrectly bled shocks on either the xpro/madrat, also the kit springs in both are extremely soft

dont get me wrong the design of the car means all this pressure that the shocks arent absorbing is going straight to those hinge pins connected to the t-piece , just so happens that t-piece takes the grunt of the impact

i would like 1 too if you could make anymore. i will pay you what it costs you and the time as well. for you making 1 for me

jim76 24-08-2009 08:26 PM

also if you have access to machining, a stainless/brass front bulkhead would be a good idea as the front really needs weight added!
