Truck racing?? Anyone else interested?

I've been asked by a couple of people if we will be running trucks in addition to buggies at the club. I wanted to know if anyone would be interested and if you are how often as the club will run weekly would you be just interested in special events/weekly/monthly to see if this is something we can start with enough support. We're not asking for a definate 'we'll be there every week' as we know life isn't like that, just what you would be interested to take part in when you can race.

Trucks have become part of regional events in the last year and seem to be increasing in popularity. Bit more bash proof for kids too I suppose. When we see what interest we have we can look into costs/possible discounts for running in more than 1 class.

This would be corr or T4 style trucks

Question
if there was a poor turnout of trucks could they be put in with the 2wd buggys ? Don't fancy wasting cash if I cannot race it

I don't either, I quite fancy a corr truck as they look like good fun to drive.

I have a spare brushless combo (xelorine 4.5) that I had in mind for a truck lol
also had a T4 in mind as they look great fun to but whatever people want

SC10 is just a T4 underneath, have a look on associated website.

These do look mint !

To me these cars look like what buggys with crap fitting shells used to look like years ago.
It might keep racing costs down if you run standard classes but most people dont seem to mind paying for top end gear and racing buggies so why change things?
If people just stuck to to racing one class surely they would improve their driving skills? Theres no need having too many classes at one small event IMO.

I agree with Chris, what's the point in running a class that is not run competitively in the NE Region?

Stick to buggies, everything else is pants!

If you all have money to burn how about give it to me instead of investing in something that is utterly pointless and will see the light of day once every couple of months.

Ive got one of those SC10 things and its wank...........
Its as long as a fortnight and the kit tyres grip on nothing apart from tarmac, i would rather stick pins in my eyes than try to race it.....

dayxwalker 27-10-2009 09:22 AM

Ok so SC10's are pants ! I still fancy a T4 even of it's just for bashing and the odd race

Now if I had an SC10 I could be tempted to play, race meetings and work load permitting
