Crytals Compatibility

I have a question. I have just bought a 40 meg KO EX10, and am awaiting an order for some TX and RX crystals. At the moment I have just one set, and am racing tommorrow.

I happen to have a box full of futaba 40 meg crystals, and I recall someone once saying that KO radios have a lot of Futabs bits on them once you open one up.

With that in mind i stuck a tx rx set from the futaba in the KO and hey presto, it worked - that was 'on the bench' and not in race conditions.

It brings me to this question.

What, if any, crystals are intercompatible with KO 40 meg systems. Surely logic will dictate that provided the crystals are matched the manufacturer is irrelevant.

hi i have both a ko EX1 mars and fut 3pk and interchange xtals from futaba and KO and dont seem to have any issues .If i remember coreectly Sanwa xtals dont seem to like ko/fut but i am quite willing to be corrected

i can say ko xtals do not work in sanwa gear,
