Good a lazer fs 4 crimbo the misses done well just wood like to no about spares and best place to get them and any build tips hope u all had a good Christmas[/QUOTE hey chris you can get spares from les if he doesn't have them je spares are pretty good as for build tips just take your time chris i konw what your like i would sujest ceramic or tungstan diff balls the kit ones arn't great. also if you got the fs version get the law 36 and law 37 alu rear lower arm mounts. stu |
Best place for spares is PBM racing & Je Spares both shops keep most in anyother shop i know of really.
Also Je have online so can see whats actaully instock & also great comms too. As for spares wouldnt go mad really. I have only ever had to replace one front shock tower that was just down to landing tower first at Worksop got it wrong off the jump. |
The FS is an amazing car you will be very happy with it I am sure.
As Carlin says no need to stock up, just get the following LA216 front shock tower LA272 (if an FS2) wishbone pack (if it's an FS then you will need LA255) When it comes to building the car take you time, don't overtighten any screws (Kyosho plastic is FAR better than some brands but you can still strip them if you lean on it too much). When it comes to the diffs please do a seach on here for posts by njc11 and me about building diffs and setting the mesh / backlash between crownwheel and pinion. If you build the diffs too tight you will wreck them, they actually improve with running so set them too loose to start with and they will come to you after a few minutes running in!!! As far as the backlash is concerned I should really bake a little cake as tomorrow will be the 3rd aniversary of me building my first lazer diffs and I am still using the same crownwheel and pinion gears ... seriously high quality stuff!!! Make surethey are done right the first time and they will last the life of the car! |
I'd get Law37 so you can adjust the rear toe, but I wouldn't bother with Law36 aswell. I'd leave the original plastic holder in it's place as I think there's plenty of adjustment with just the rear holder (Law37) fitted plus Law36 is more awkward to change the inserts of compared to Law37 too.

But it is a little stronger, as in it will bend rather than break so you get to finish the day!
