speed passion gt2 or gtlpf

Hi
I know that the lpf will go to 5.5 on lipo is there any other reason not to get this as it will be only used in a 2wd running max 6.5,see the team drivers run a pro version in theres.
As i dont want to by the lpf and find that it shuts down due to heat etc, just like a bit of feed back off people who run them in there cars
Cheers

I run an LPF in my SV on a 7.5 with no probs. I also leant my SP LPF to SteveB for a Taplow meeting and again he had no probs with it in his SV with a SP 6.5. Came off perfectly cool etc.

Only word of warning is that the LPF doesn't have a lot of margin with a hotter motor. Recently I had a motor go high resistance (HUGE jumps at Ardent I think caused that) and the LPF couldn't cope and let out the magic smoke. When I tried the motor in the 4wd (how I found it to be dodgy) with a Pro it ran fine until it got too hot and shut down.

Look at the HobbyWing ESCs though, a 120A (same as SP Pro) unit which is nearly the identical ESC can be had for £100 .... just follow the link in my sig :)

I ran a LPF in my 511 with 5.5 tekin redline and it was spot on.
