Just a touch off of the sides of the front upper bulk head where the shell rubs a tad. Purely cosmetic. Hope this helps

Awesome car, run it a couple of time and for me it's way easier to run quick laps than the 22. After a some runs I push the car a lot more, add some drag brake and was able to run fast, push a lot the Vega always behave perfectly.

I could really take corners like never before, eats bumps like a charm, need some work on big jump to learn how to control the car in the air but I tried a lot of cars and it's easily the best 2wd for me.

Maintenance is easy too, the gear box is simple to remove and the whole chassis/motor mount/gearbox is a very nice heatsink to keep temp low.

Big thanks to Kevin Lee and Matt Owen for answering all my stupid questions

the funny thing was the chap running the 22 on the night,he said "now the track is damp iv got no grip and need to run balistic green"....i didnt notice with the vega and did my fastes round:lol::thumbsup:

asking is good because it means you can pass it on quicker

Hi i was just wondering how you got on with fitting the wide rear ali hingpin holder, the plasic one was a tight fit,but the ali one wont sit in place unless i put all the plasic shims that sit between it and the chassis, surly this will give the car far to much anti squat and unable to reduce it if i want, could someone pop a pic up of what you have done please
thanks

tomtom 20-08-2011 10:56 AM

To put the wide alloy hinge pin holder I got to remove the small tabs underneath it, just fill them or use a dremel until it fit (the part that make contact to the chassis has to be flat). This is for the rear/rear, the front one just fit without issues.

reg 20-08-2011 11:04 AM

thanks tomtom,i was just about to say iv sorted it,the rear part of the hingpin holder is rounded and the chassis square,iv just put a nice little roundness on the rear of the chassis and it fits without having to dremal anything off:thumbsup:

reg 20-08-2011 05:53 PM

tomtom you are right,it looked ok because it was leaning back, when i put the screws in it showed what it still wasnt right,i did as you said with the dremmal and it fits lovely,
thanks mate:thumbsup:
