I like!

I'd prefer the whole compartment to be removable, in cases of using the stubby format (say, across the back of a 22).
This is most useful in touring cars, which do not have battery compartments as such, and thus can't simply chuck in a weight at one end of the battery without compromising the battery tape. It's so embarrassing when your car gives birth to it's own battery....umbilical still attached and all.... |
even better buy a stubby and add weigth were ever you want

Run a stubby and add lead flat on the chassis to lower the CoG, much better option. |
Got to say I agreed with that as well. A neet idea (I'll give them that) but I don't really see the point.

Interesting idea ... I can see many uses for this personally!

This cell has the advantage of having terminals bot ends so you canflip the weight bias and still hav the connectors where you need them.
Also some cars are just not designed for stubby cells. It will be good for Touring cars and 2wd, especially some new cars that are yet to surface :woot: I also think it looks smart and tidy, somewhere to keep you knick nacks if you like:thumbsup: |
I have cracked it! Maybe put a haribo or 2 in there. Car flips-Marshall runs for his life to get the haribo *Car* I mean.. jobs a winner
haha in all serious though, seems a very interesting idea! |
what if you start the race over weight and the lid pops off and the weights eject. then you'll be underweight at the end of the race potentially voiding your result...
|
I think it would be a seriously bad crash=The battery strap would need to come off otherwise there is next to no chance the door would come off completely for the brass bricks to come out. 99.99% of cars battery compartment hugs them tight on all sides. So I can't see that being a issue tbh.. and I'm sure Orion have thought about it.
