starter box battery wiring for lipo or nimh
 

Hi,
I've purchased an old starter box which I think is a schumacher one with a slide out tray underneith for tools,

My question is I know i can probably run it off a couple of nimh or lipo batteries, just need to know how to wire up the 2 batteries to the red and black wires I have in there, and is it 2 or more batteries I need, I will be using either 4300 mah nimh's or 4000 mah lipo's.
