27AM mhz is not fussy as to crystal wise
nor is 40am
but fm is diffrent
as i think it has a closer frequency?? hence some only work with the same brand crystals.
sanwa = sanwa
ko = ko
futaba = futaba
I have not heard of any mixing that worked with out interference ect.
