- Put in a tub with wd40 shake for a few seconds
- Take bearing out and spin it for a few seconds to dislodge any crud
- Put back in the tub and shake for a few more seconds
- Take out of tub and then use a PCB cleaning solvent in an aerosol and spray through the bearing to remove and particles left inside and to remove all the wd40 as it is actually quite a poor lubricant when compared to a good quality oil
- Lubricate with fully synthetic oil
