are you guys saying that the XX-4 chassis is flexing?
IMHO I think the BJ4 is less stiff. But that the suspension geometry and the weight distribution of the XX-4 is more suitable for rough terrain.
I can tell you from track racing that we use different thickness chassis plates as a tuning aid. A thinner one will reduce weight (which is faster) and provide more grip. A stiffer one is better on high-bite tracks since it makes the car more stable in high speed corners. In general it seems like it for high speed sections is better to have a really stiff chassis and let the shocks do all the work (the Slide alu-car was supreme on highspeed tracks). But on a twisty track you need a much more "lively" car to get response and more steering. A soft chassis and softer plastic arms etc can then be better. Just my 5 cents, maybe not valid for OR...
