The UMW514 brace is the replacement for the RF2 plastic version. I was under the impression that they were identical but after measuring last night it seems they are not.
As mentioned, the alloy version is slightly wider (about 0.7 between centres) so it will give about 0.5 degrees less toe in. It will also increase the wheelbase very slightly.
I don't know for sure but I guess it may be due to shrinkage of the plastic part after the moulding process. I remember there was a similar occurence on the X Factory X6, in that the 4 degree plastic brace gave 3.5.
As far as i'm aware the entire team are using the alloy version so all of the setups you see posted already take this into account.
