Hi,

I ran all the series of B44 vehicles.

What I always did was remove any play between the diff and the crown gear.

When assembled if you can move the diff left to right on the diff outputs. Then you need to add a shim to move the diff gear closer to the crown gear.
(Really important on the rear.)

Following this method / procedure, I'd have a very reliable B44 transmission.

The conversion if you can still get the parts of the B44 to a Durango gear diff was very expensive. At this stage it would be a multiple of the value of the buggy.
