Have replied to your message Robin... looking at those lovely machined parts I notice that the mating face on which the diff ring/washer sits is completely flat - on the original parts there is a slim 'lip' around the outer edge which I think gives the effect of applying more point pressure on the diff ring & helps it 'grip' ... if that makes sense?
