Not sure if this is of interest to anyone but I found it useful. Considering the amount of kit we take take race meetings and the value of it I asked my insurance if my kit was covered when in my car or when away from home. My car insurance said it was not covered and my home insurance said not whilst its in my car. LOL
Many of us race at meetings often staying at hotels overnight with kit left in the car (uninsured in my case).

Very cheap to do and your kit is covered literally everywhere
You choose the level of cover but £9 premium per £1000 worth of equipment!
It also covers accidental damage, so if you dop your transmitter its covered
