I'm on a mission. I've (happily - I love painting!!) agreed to do a couple of paint jobs for some pals.
The first one, I need to do for this Sunday
. Ultimately, we're trying to achieve something like this on a B4.1 shell :
Reasonably fiddly, but confident I can do a decent version, but only with the right materials, paint etc.
I've got an airbrush I've never used before !!!, a decent compressor, some paint in cans (from my mate, which he's used on previous shells), but crucially no liquid mask - which I reckon is essential to achieving a shell like this. Not used that before either !!!
Does anybody know anywhere in West Yorks that sells Createx / Faskolor or something similar
OR can deliver uber-fast and has plenty of colours in stock?
I'm trying to figure out if it's realistic to aim to complete a shell like that for the weekend, or should I just do him a bog standard (but neat) job with some standard mask & the spray cans he's passed me, and save the "big one" for another day?
