It depends on how you generally run the car, and your driving style, but for us:

- Use it on high bite tracks to increase steering response.
- With the right tyres for the track, the whole car has a locked in feel that you can push hard.
- For even more front bite add the brass front brace.
- Allows us to usually compete against the front motors on high grip Astro.
- Change back to plastic if track becomes slippery (it's a fast switch).

For us it's an essential tuning aid with the car on British tracks.
