Seen some pics of the new box etc, looks good. Just wondering what has been done regarding the variable (bendy) chassis?

Does anyone think ae may release their own C4.2 under their own brand? As in JConcepts and the BJ4? It seems to really fit the same characteristics and as US tracks and/or large races we are seeing more mid motor cars arguably dominating the rear motor market, surely it would be the best option for them to seamlessly move into that market.

I didnt actually look and see if there was a thread for this, apologies if there is feel free to move mods!

I heard there was a "new" B5 which was rear motor and Ally chassis coming for the worlds and then the B5 mid would be a conversion for the rear motor car.

But how true this is i dont know

I suspect they might just stick with the b4 / c4 currect setup, or some sorta hybrid. But problem is i dont think ae will want to market the "bendy" c4 untill any issues are ironed out.

Will there be an upgrade conversion from c4.1 to c4.2 or just the conversion from b4 to c4.2?

I very much doubt we'll see a "C4.2" kit or conversion.

You can make your own now anyway, with a B4.2 kit, the centro C4.1 kit, and the "new" lwb chassis. Run shorty lipos in it and set it up like Craggy's. That's a C4.2.

I think the next moulded gearbox will be used with a plastic tub chassis, or tub/Ali combo chassis, and it won't be called a C4.2. I also think the wait will be longer, certainly until after the worlds...

No the moulded gearbox is the c4.2 where as the long chassis is the c4.1 +8mm.

Otherwise why we talking about a c4.2 when its allready out?

No, my opinion still stands. AE has no mid motor car. They have history of taking a development chassis and making it their new model (b44). The cml c4.1 has proven itself. Looks like AE need a mid motor chassis to win the sugary worlds. They are already working with the C4.1 platform, which works well now for craggy and cav, and we are not likely to see a new model (for sale) before the world's.
The B4.2 was a freshen up of the B4.1. Why would they call a new flagship mid motor car a similar point revision name, when its not?

Also, has anyone from cml or AE said there will be a c4.2 out, and that's its official name? All we have seen are some new moulded plastic bits that need a new chassis, that we haven't seen yet.

My view is we won't see a product on the shelves called a C4.2.
