Default ESC choice

Given the choice and that the price is about the same should I buy a new Hobbywing V2.1 90A or a second hand Tekin RS Pro?
I am a relative novice running a 2WD buggy currently fitted with a 10.5T motor but would like something that will still be suitable as I (hopefully!) improve and go for faster motors.
A reason for choosing one of the other would be useful too please.

I've been running hobbywing for a number of years and use the v2.1 90 in my current cars - for under £55 its a great esc for the money. Tekins are seem by many as one of the best but people I know who have run one always seem to have issues with firmware and software for some reason and a few have swapped to hobbywing since as they seem to be less hassle

I run my esc with either a 6.5 unboosted or an 8.5 boosted and it runs both fine
