Default DS R4 card???

What's the R4 card for DS? What can you do with it? Just bought a DS for my little girl and somebody has told me to get one?? Thanks

in my opinion the best are the dstwo, then the ezflash vi, then the m3 ds real sakura, then the r4 series....

dstwo has the ability to emulate slot 2 via built in processor for devices without slot 2 and can play gba, mame, snes, etc
