Default race registering transponder probs

As theres the issue of amb rc4 system transponder incompatability.
I think clubs running meetings, which you book in through myrcm, should notify they,re running rc4 system, so drivers don,t turn up then find they,re older transponder does,nt work, and either go home or have to buy a new transponder.

Agreed, and that's exactly what the organisers of ETS / EOS have done. They have updated their system, and you have to confirm that you're aware of this as part of the entry process.

So hang on, have I missed something? I thought old transponders worked with rc4, MRT was the problem. Are people having issues with old amb transponders with rc4? I thought the problem was the new percy transponder not working on the older system, thus if you have a new percy and the club isn't running rc4

Edit. Please folks I post this reply as a direct question to this thred, I don't want to bring the MRT etc bun fight here, lets keep that on the other thred

This works both ways. Clubs should also state they are running RC3, so anyone turning up with a Percy will also have to either go home or buy an older transponder.

Good point.
I think everyones aware Amb pt,s aren,t a problem with RC4, but not everyone has Amb pt,s.
Useful to know be for you book in tho.

Well at least 1 organiser Ets/Eos has made provision for this info, maybe others will follow.
