Default Pub Shambles Joins the fold

Well i suppose it was a matter of time, just like kerry katona going back into rehab, finding out that one of `the Wanted` (new boyband) is gay, and robbie getting back with take that. Pub Shambles has finally defected to the dark side and got a buggy!!

Photographic proof will be provided!! lol!

Woo Hoo! Nice to see you have come to your senses, it will be an exciting time for you getting to grips with buggy racing! Liking the shell though mate - it is good to have a decent paint sheme since when you crash you rarely damage the bodyshell.
On buggies we use spiked tyres. These have a larger diameter to touring car tyres and you don't need additives on them. The addition of spikes allows for better grip on exotic surfaces such as grass and astroturf. The long things connected to the shock tower are called shock absorbers. These are fitted to touring cars but they have to be much longer on buggies so that they are able to absorb the shock of an impact. You can change the oil in these to adjust the level of damping but should also make sure the springs are appropriate too. A buggy also comes with a slipper clutch. This is a simple device that allows the spur gear to "slip" when the motor pinion is spinning at a different velocity to the spur gear. This can often occur when landing off a jump. Jumps are commonly found on off-road tracks around the country to make a race more interesting, since drivers don't just have to think about getting round corners.

Grass is an exotic surface?
My back garden must be uber exotic then, envy of the street!

I just loved the look of those smileys all going together.

It's weird. Mr Petch knows all that stuff and yet still drives like he's had his eyes poked out with a sharp stick...

Just one thing to mention though John; you haven't put any tyres on it mate. Not sure if you'd noticed.

I always try to please. I can't slip 1 place down the rankings - im already at the bottom.

Chris B - grass is considered an exotic surface to Snorers!

Paul - it's not me, its Dave's fault for selling me dodgy hinge pins so my car keeps breaking

I can supply you with a Shock Tower protector for the sum of 1 pound. Also in conjunction with Rob and Dave we are desinging a brace for the front bulk head to try and stop the camber link holders from breaking on impacts. Should have the first prototype batch on Friday .

Thats cool Wes. How thick are they going to be? Thinking we will have to dremel the mounts down to keep the geometry the same.

They're 4mm thick mate but on two of them i've milled 2mm where the ball joints are. I've left the other three 4mm thick for more strength but you'll probably have to use longer ball joints with these. We shall have a butchers tomorrow .
