Quick question (electrics placement)

Hi guys,

Just finishing off my 410v3 build and have a few electrics placement questions. I pride myself on having a neat car, i'm fairly good at it but this is a tougher challenge than most.

I'm noticing on most pictures that people angle there motor so the wires make contact underneath the driveshaft and are extremely short, is this the most popular root?

Also, who uses the small plastic pad + aerial mount that comes in the kit? There a couple of nobbly bits on that makes it get in the way, was thinking bout just getting rid of this and using my own aerial mount.

I tried over the drive shaft, it was a pain, now I'm running under the shaft. Easier to swap the batteries too.
Don't use the plate, it's too flexible, the esc eventually peels away from it as you bounce the car around. Cuts down on available space in the car too.
You can cut the aerial tube of the plate and use that anyway.

I didn't use it. I can see why people do, but I use the no-more nails stuff which leaves no residue on the chassis. Also, two layers of it is equal to the depth of the side pod enabling the tidy and stable fitment of the ESC.

I used an ol' D4 aerial mount and screwed into that.

This is my first effort, fairly happy with a 1st effort but likely to be revised, really struggled to fit the switch in somewhere so just dumped it beside the transponder.

Too many wires, not enough room!

There is enough room for the transponder under the front diff, which frees up the space on the plastic side pod post for the switch.

I will have my DEX410v3 in a few weeks so looking forward to getting this setup. So I noticed you all use a 3rd party ariel mount, think that will go on the order list too.

You can put the cap under the drive shaft between the motor and esc, then shrink wrap the rx wires etc
