Default HELP!

Hi i was driving my car around the house and a small puff of smoke came out of the motor around where the tabs/sensor wire is. I noticed it because i was next to the car, if it was on the track, i probley wouldnt of even noticed the smoke.

The motor doesnt run properly now.. The throttle doesnt work, but if i give it a little push or turn the rotor with my hand abit it works..

There are certain parts where the motor doesnt repond to throttle, but if i turn the pinion over abit, it will move.. etc.

It was working perfectly, then i turned it off to adjust the camber/toe, and turned it back on and drove it a few metres and it let off a small puff of smoke.

Did i blow the sensor board?? or is there something wrong with my ESC?

I emailed novak and they rekon its my ESC that blew a mosfet.. but the smoke came from the motor? and the esc still works?

The motor is novak ballistic.

The only option in my mind is a process of elimination.

Try the motor with another speed control.
Then try the speed control with another motor.

HTH.

I suspect it's something in the sensor assembly, that should be easily replacable.

First things to do is swap motors with a mate to confirm if the problem stays with the motor or the speedo. Next try the sensor cable (can't imagin what could smoke in there though) and then if it is the motor start looking for a new sensor board.
