well i upgraded this month and got the experia X10, fantastic phone, there is nothing it can't do!....Apart from it's battery last longer than 3 hours!!
The phone is like i said, brilliant, easy to use and some great apps in the android market. When i took it back the sales bloke said it would take 14 days for the battery to bed in properly...Just so happens that your 'returns' period on contract is 14 days!

So i changed it for a blackberry storm 2. And i have to say i love it The wacky push button screen is a little wierd to get used to, but after a day or so you will be using it like lightning.
I will admit, there are not as many apps on the blackberry as the X10 and not as many features in generall but its still a fantastic phone, easy to use and more stylish than the X10 i think

I don't know about the other 2 though, sorry.

Desire, easy.

Any phone with the Android OS is fantastic. I use a HTC Hero and it's really easy to use.

And it doesn't sell you out to the fashionistas using the Iphone!

X10 is superb. Easy enough to dramatically improve battery life, do all FW updates for one. Then turn off any bits you aren't using, specifically the WLAN and GPS at very least. Really easy to simply switch them on when you want them and then you get MUCH better battery life.

Also, X10 will be getting Android OS V2.1 shortly too

the desire spanks the other 2.
The X10 has a crap plastic, very inaccurate ordinary LCD screen, compared to the desires amoled glass screen.
THe X10 also runs the old v1.6 android, and sony have messed around with some of the standard android functions to put in their own bespoke ones which are worse.

The Storm is just horrid because of the wierd moving clickable screen!

check out the reviews at places like GSM arena and trusted reviews. The desire wins hands down everywhere. Plus it is cheaper than an X10. not sure on the storm as it is that horrid i never looked at the price!

+ 1 for HTC Desire... Excellent phone, although making calls is just a trivial function compared to everything else it's capable of. Tons of apps, great screen and userbillity. I have compared to iPhone for fluid movement of screen / responsiveness of touch screen etc and it's on a par - I wouldn't say any better, but both are excellent which is hard to improve upon. Pound for Pound, it's a far better deal too... Also the Desire runs the latest android S/W, where as the experia X10 is running the older version which I believe is not being updated to version 2.1 as per the desire untill Q4 this year...

Forgot to mention, and it's only personal preference, but Black Desire is far better looking than the odd Brown colour previously released by Orange. I managed to get mine last Monday, and I never actually seen the web site showing as in stock! Just had to keep calling - I'd still be waiting now for Orange to call me back as they promissed too!

stay well away from the storm2 my partner and i have been through 6 of them in the past 2 months or so due to various reasons. one of them even arrived without an operating system installed! we were lucky enough to get a desire and legend as replacements which are both on android 2.1 and so far seem pretty rock solid. if you can wait i would highly recomend hanging on for the desire.

there is a new "incredible" due from HTC soon. It is basically the Desire but with 8gb in built memory and full native flash. Means you can install far more apps than the usual 512mb RAM on the other phones.

not sure on UK release date, but it shouldn't be too long if you aren't desperate to upgrade
