looks flipping brilliant. i'm on the lookout for a smallholding at the moment, preferably with a large barn, for the same purpose. do you know it the owners needed any sort of special planning permission?

with the horribly inconsistent summers we're having, this kind of venue is the only real option

when's the next race?

They used to race there before, for years, it was the BIG winter series!! Also normally the first round of the BRCA nationals.

I think if they put it on, people will participate

carpet is all well and good, but dirt is a totally different test of driver skill.

Which part of the country are you in?
Im afraid you need planning permission to run r/c cars in a barn, you can't even do it under the 28 day rule.

Get Tiverton indoors running regular again, or as a monthly thing and I'll try my best to be there

Certainly does, fair few stones there now . I always wished they ran Tiverton National in the summer when it was warm(er). Was so much better when they got a groove

We only raced inside on wim as it was raining so heavily on sunday morning.
The surface is now dirt impregnated with chunks of rubber (not gravel although it does look like it) like the marbles on an f1 track. We had to do a lot of sweeping. The rubber makes it quite bumpy. I had a chunk of rubber jam my steering in one heat. This was much better after the cars had cleared a line.
There is another post running on this subject on the Tiverton section
