Waterproofing Cars?
With winter upon us I was just thinking if people waterproof their cars in the way of covering their electrical parts etc to protect them from any wet.
Will the electrics withstand small bouts of damp/splashes from a wet racing surface without damaging the electrics or is it best to do some kind of waterproofing job on the car .........or can you just leave it as it is without doing anything? cheers |

From the 16 years i have been doing rc racing the best thing on the market is LAZY GOO
I use a cotton bud to smear it all over the servos except the servo spline; I do all my receiver Except where the lugs go I also go round my receiver box and lid them makes it all airtight and waterproof I have had no issues at all by using the Lazy Goo and found it brillant. http://rclazy.com/shop/lazygoo/

- Poster buddies/gum over the connection of sensor cable to motor.
- Toilet paper around the ESC and Rx (absorbs the moisture if it gets inside instead of landing on the wiring connections). - A strip of duct tape to seal chassis and bodyshell (in the area where the front wheels spray against the body - for some cars, two small strips of tape at the rear might be useful). I have got the advice from some very experienced fellow club members and the solution never failed me Last edited by Origineelreclamebord; 03-11-2014 at 05:11 PM. |

Blue tac works as well, plus the centres of tuby inserts rather than just throwing them away
