Default R10.1 braking performance

Hi

Just wondering what everyone thinks of the brakes on the R10.1? i'm running mine in a 2wd with a Orion ultimate 6.5T on carpet, and whilst it stops, from the feedback I have had on it, its not as strong as it could be.

Just wondering what people's experience has been?

Cheers

Adrian

Default R10.1

Hi

I have an R10.1 and I can’t say I’ve noticed an issue with the brakes at all. Do you have a program box for it?! Also have you checked your brake settings on your TX!? No expert in this as I don’t do enough racing these day but just putting it out there 👍🏻

Hi Jonro7 - don't worry the feedback is appreciated.

Yes got the programming box and recently re-calibrated the ESC.

Thanks for the reply

I run a TLR 22 4.0 2WD buggy on carpet with a 10.1 and orion 6.5t motor. My rear wheels will physically lock on full brake when set at 100% via DSB-R program box. I run mine at 87.5% (12.5% steps), so 1 down off max and find the stopping performance adequate.

I run it in a B6 and B64, no problems with brakes.
I think the 4wd is at 85% and that is more than enough.
Don’t forget the slipper can effect your brakes on high grip tracks

I run mine in a PR SB401 and if I run brakes at 100% it will stand it on its nose.

There are different versions of the program box. I believe that the more recent ones have more settings.
