Default K1 Chassis

Hi,

Has anybody tried the c/f chassis for the K1 and what would be the benefits from the kit standard apart from being lighter also did the sx3 chassis used to be 2.5mm thick as the new one is 2mm thick.

Default K1 chassis

Hi mark

So I guess it is going to give more traction in low grip situations and the new brass weights will help settle the car do you know anybody that has tried it.

As Mark has said , on a couple of Mossy's latest setup sheets he has been running an "option" chassis whether its this new chassis or some other material I don't know. He has also been running bigbores.

Yes have tested the carbon chassis much easier to drive compared to the alloy version.

I asked tom which chassis he thought was better, tom prefers the carbon one as its lighter and makes the car more agile but it is harder to drive.

Personally i am going to try the s1 chassis to make it easier to drive (hopefully) for me....

From Schui website;

Optional S1 chassis for the CAT K1, softer in twist than the kit alloy chassis, for more traction on low grip surfaces and a more forgiving car to drive.

Tried the carbon chassis last weekend at Silverstone and it was harder to drive for me, however, seriously fast lap times, just not enough of them

Will test on Saturday at West Bridgeford where less grip, but I feel the standard will be coming back. I thought the car out of the box is simply amazing!!

Default S1

We test the S1 chassis today at our small indoor carpet track.. and first time after we have change from alloy to S1, best lap time was improved by 0.3 sec!! and the lap times was more equal that before..

Same happens with the Cougar when we switch to S1..

Hey Ulrich,

I ran at West Bridgeford as I said I would and the Alloy is back on. Enough said!
