Finally got my kit shell sprayed as ive been using my .2 proline one.

Does anyone else have issue that the shell hits motor? The air dam sits on motor and moving motor around even if tabs are out the way it touches can

Anyone any ideas im pretty miffed i av paid for a shell sprayed that i now wont use 😡

Mine does exactly the same, I use mine in motor forward setup and it hits the shell, only way round it it to run shorty and run rear motor

I have my sons car running saddle and it is tight and had to twist the motor tabs out of the way but it does fit.

I'd imagine it's intended to fit the shorty layout as that's how most of the US guys are running them now I think.

Don't quote me on that though, just a thought

Agree from a few feedback now its clear its not intended for saddle. I tried all positions of motor but its not tabs its actual motor that stops it sitting flat.

Oh well thats that shell in the bin 😥, unless shorty suddenly becomes the way to go anyway.

Thanks guys

I would have thought everyone would jump on the shorty layout straight away? My 44.2 used to weigh about as much as an M1 Abrams and I can't see the .3 being any lighter with an alloy (and longer) chassis

I dont know of anyone running shorty tbh? Ive tried to find out what it would give being shorty but as everyone still seems saddle based its hard to know if its worth the change for astro season
