Default Can't unsolder wires on R10.1

Hi, I have an Orion R10.1 and i wanted to take the power and motor wires off to put new ones on, i cant get the factory soldered joints to melt.
Has anyone any tips?
I have never had this problem with other speedos!
My soldering station goes to 400*C

Default flux

have you tried adding some flux to the joints... or adding fresh solder to help melt it all?

I have a solder station that does 450* and it won't unsolder factory soldered 12awg wire. I always use my gas soldering iron which has a 5mm tip to do them. It's a blue point iron which is the same as a portasol pro iron.

It depends on how powerful your iron is,Irons in factories are running all day, and they are hot, they work high temperature to make solder joints fast,if not they just heat up the circuit boards etc they are working on,thus you tend to find you need some wattage to unsolder their work,on esc's I use 80w Iron may sound drastic but it quickly unsolders their work and I can make solder joints very quickly without heating up the esc

Comes from the old days of making battery packs up before lipos.
