Default Electrics Help!

Hi all. Have a couple of issues;

1. Getting a sparking and some smoke from what looks like 2 resistors when I wire up the battery?! No idea what I am doing wrong. Didn’t do this at the weekend??

2. Have a new receiver for an old Spektrum DX3s I had. Reset all settings. Plugged it, when I switch the power on all I get is loads of throttle?! What am I doing wrong again?!

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Sounds like you mean the capacitors. If so I'd try changing them before getting a new ESC.

Thanks for that. The car seems to be working ok. Not sure why it happened. There does seem to be a small spark as a push in the battery connectors - is that normal?

Any ideas on the Spektrum receiver?

Cheers.

Occasional spark when pushing in the connectors is fairly normal.

Can't help with the Spektrum issue, sorry.

Are you just swapping the RX over into the car with the rest of the electrics? Are you re-calibrating the ESC when swapping?
