View Full Version : The OffoOple Euros Thread
We dont have one of these bad boys yet:o
I think this will be where the discussion for the euros will take place, im not sure if there will be any live feeds from the track this year but im sure you will get all the info you need from jimmy`s reports. :D
My first query is what is the plans for everyone on the days before the event. I will arrive probably late morning on the saturday. What does everyone usually do? Visit the track, prep cars, Drink?
This thread is a bit quiet:eh?:

We're getting there thursday so will have a bit of a chill out first!
Got to try sort out some internet access somewhere - I doubt they'll have access at the track like there was in Vaasa last year, so we'll need to find a way of uploading, either haXXor stylee or find a legit local internet place.

Going out early to have a lil break - We were originally going to go to the 8th Euros as well to cover it but that fell thru so now we're having a holiday I guess you'd call it  and so I can scope the mcdonalds out.
For those driving, there is a new rule that comes into force today, there is supposed to be a hi-vis vest for each person in the car, im not sure how strict they will be on this though, but no doubt they will enforce it just because were british :(
Hopefully none of us will be stood at the side of the road anyway :)

Jimmy, theres a McDonald's right next to the Stadio Delle Alpi (Juventus football stadium) which is a couple of junctions down the autostrada.
The stadium is well signposted so can't miss it.
Below is one of the run's from the 05 Worlds. I don't think the people behind us in the queue were impressed when we put this order in. :D

Many Thanks for welcome I'm happy and proud to be on the board.

now, I just need to know how to adapt my fillet-o-fish to tell them
It's a lot of time that I don't eat something from McDonalds but, if nothing is changed, fillet-o-fish it's the same in Uk as in Italy :D.
Probably (but not sure ;)) after the first time that you have pronounced it in the correct way you have to repeat it as it's wrote :D.
'without all the crap'
"without all the crap" is "senza schifezze" but it's better if you use "senza salse".
Then your complete "safety formula" is: un fillet-o-fish senza salse.
I cant believe you are not gonna be there!!!!!! No way dude!!!!!!!!!
Dude call in sick and get your ass there:thumbsup:

'There seems to be a stange culture of 'ladies' standing in the middle of nowhere dressed in their thongs only in Italy - I can't quite understand it but after 2 days in Italy we'd seed around 4-5 women in different obscure locations far from civilisation with their arses out! awesome.'

Is it much more expensive to call someone whilst in italy?
If you are calling them on their mobile in Italy and you are in the UK it won't cost you any more than usual. The receiving party will pay the additional cost.
So call away
If you are in Italy though it will cost you alot more...

Your Dad is down here in the bar at the moment, putting the world to rights. I am guessing that Grant has retired to continue his superstardom tomorrow. I think you are missing a lot of things Ben, but as for the report from day 2, it's still being tweaked (by Jimmy). I did some right proper ace stuff today, but Jimy thinks it is all bullpoo so is currenty deleting it all. I'm sure it'll be ace when he has Jimmified it though.

mmmm....that's hard to say...
I think the driving style of Lee suits well to the track but... Hupo is really fast too...
Joern will be at the top, but I do not see him fighting for the victory. Ditto for Neil.
And I like to think that perhaps, there will be a MiD44 in A final!!! Go Tonio gooooo!!

Lee told me at the last national that his b44 is really good on dirt, and he has been over on international soil a lot this year so he could do it...but that x5 of Ellis is runnig very well right now.
Neil for the win, pidge 2nd and bradders 3rd

One thing for sure, its going to be fast and close.
Hope TomC does a doube A final by making top 10 in 4wd too. and I do hope Ellis can bring home the big pot for X-factory.:)
To pick a winner is tough, but its bound to be between Neil, Pidge, Bradders, Hupo purely due to there dirt experience (tracks, not women), and I have got to predict Ellis being el-rapido as nobody can deny how bleedin' quick he is with the X-5 on any track.

Let’s face it, the world’s BX looks so much nicer than the new B-MAX4 Yokomo, but then a car doesn’t have to look nice/bling to be a winner, I prove this every national coming last with the best looking car!!
I'd have my work cut out trying to ‘bling’ this new shaft drive B-MAX4 Yoke; it’s got a definitive lack of blue alloy/any alloy on it, however would obviously be a more attractive car as Euro champ on its first outing.
I need to learn to look beyond ‘attractiveness’ it’s ‘personality’ that counts, not just how pretty a car is… or was that something to do with women?
Good luck to all the UK 4wd drivers and thanks Jimmy and Vicky for all your hard work keeping us up-to-date with wot-go-on.
Oh Jimmy… I'm going to be cheeky, can you see if you can get me one of the ‘long’ belt covers shown on the worlds BX, I’ve got a belt cover but these guys seem to have ones that stretch the length of the rear belt… steal me one! ta :)

We just got back to the hotel, a good day trackside!!!!
Ellis was quick today, but had a few issues with his car, Neil also looked very fast, and had a few different shells or cars, couldnt tell, Moss was fast and Grant was quick for his first time out with the new cat.
There were many other fast guys, but didnt watch them all.
It was very hot today, I mean hot!!!! Hope the weather is ok back there:thumbsup:

ahhh oui, c'est la merde. Le pomplemousse. D;accord.
Matt Benfield puts us to shame, he is shockingly tidy. I'll tell you what legume, if I didn't know what our desk looked like, i would never be able to guess, I mean Jimmy didn't leave behind any hints at all did he.
