Sunday 5th February 2012 All Day Trophy Meeting (pre book open)

Hi All,

Trophies for the top 3 in a finals, 2wd, 4wd, Short Course and Juniors! We've managed to secure the unit again for a full sunday meeting. Doors will open around 7.30am and we'll be doing at least 4 rounds of heats and at least 2 leg finals :thumbsup:. Practice will be in heat order. NO OPEN PRACTICE

www.apexmodels.com (http://www.apexmodels.com) will have a shop on site for the day.

Table and Chair: Plenty of on site, no need to bring unless you have your fav chair. Please DO NOT bring tables, they will be laid out ready.

It'll be snuggly. You WILL have to share tables (2.5m long tables) but this should still allow racers plenty of room. If you have a novice with you, or running two cars, please still budge up.

If we get FULL and I can squeeze no more in, then please be prepared to pit near the door under cover.

If you can bring your 12v + Silent Generators please. We only have limited 13 amp sockets on site. These are fine for club nights but there will be a lot more charging on this day and I dont want to fuse the place!. Gennies can go outside the door and leads put through the windows to the rooms.

Food Van: from 8.30am till late...

At present, doors will open at 7.30am with booking in open until 8.15am. Hope to start racing at 8.30am with 5 min practice in heat order (no free for all due to numbers).

Think you may find there will be a few more FORCC drivers there as well not just for off road wars practise but for the fact we are wimps and like to race with a roof over our heads in the winter and you are only 20 mins up the road from where they usually race outside on a sunday.

Dean unfortunately has double booked himself so he wont be attending however i will be there and have arranged to bring the shop with me. dean will still take pre orders so as tartman said anything out of the ordinary please preorder. I will have wheels tires inserts and a limited amount of spares. Payment will have to be by card no cash thanks

In all fairness I find minispikes on 4wd just more consistent and I am still getting used to running minipins! Minipins are definitely quicker though if your car is setup right (which mines not !):lol:

After last nights track shake down I'm really looking forward to a relaxing days racing on sunday with trophies for the top 3 in EVERY final :thumbsup:

Looks like the snow wont be heading this far south so if you're M4/M40 Souht/home counties, travel should be fine :thumbsup:.

We've warmth, food van, pit tables and chair provided and 4 classes of action packed racing to get into.

We'll decide on the day but we are heading for 4 rounds of qualifying and 3 legged finals for all buggy classes :thumbsup:

Burger van confirmed for 08.30 for the race day.

Not long to go. Looks like a little dusting of the white stuff, but wont stop us racing, or getting there! Man up anyone who's worried about a little snow. Just drive carefully and save the speed for the track/thumbs!

We will hold open booking in a little later if needed for those travelling a long way, so dont go mad! A later start is OK. No Rush!:)

well, locally, the small roads are bad but driveable, just finished doing the track.
the main roads are gritted and should be OK, take it easy and all will be well.

WE ARE running the meeting. Later start of course due to the weather, so dont rush, prob look to be going for 9.30 to 10.00?

We have great heaters and should be all snuggly...... doors open from 07.30 but again, dont rush!!:)

As per the text, we can get you on track even if everyone turns up BUT pitting might be tight so you might need to pit from your car (5ft from the door to the track).

That's assuming EVERYONE pre booked turns up, which I doubt.

What a top day that was! Lots of great close racing. I know need quite a few spares for the Durango but getting faster as its only the third time I've raced 2wd. 4wd was a really close race from start to finish with most racers finishing on the same number if lap, hope people got a video of that one :)

Track was good with enough speedy bits and technical turns, roll on the next full day!

I KNOW i can speak for myself and Dudders, we had a great day, great turn out and almost at capacity!

LOADS of great racing, fantastic day and loads of fun!

1st 4wd B final and 1st SC final for me........ RESULT!!!!

I agree, roll on the next full day...... 2 more bits of bling for my trophy shelf....

Thanks to all that braved the snow and got here for some VERY close racing and what a great track, the table top, was fantastic..... Well done James L for building it, after the abuse we gave it, OK OK, the SC gave it lol, will need a little strengthening now hehe.......
