SHOW US YOUR VINTAGE COLLECTION; NO PICTURES, NO BRAGGING RIGHTS!!!

I noticed that there is no "show us your..." thread in our Vintage Forum, so I guessed it would make sense to start our own.

I am more than sure that there are members here with vintage collections that would wake up dead people from their graves.

So... now is the time to show us your unique, HEAVY WALLET, non-stop drooling vintage collection!!!

Let the drooling begin!!!!!
:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:: drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::d rool:

I'll start with my small and humble collection, which consists of:
1985 Kyosho Optima
1986 Kyosho Javelin
1988 Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid SE
1989 Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid Special
1990 Team Associated RC10 Championship Edition
http://www.oople.com/forums/picture....pictureid=6006
Next in line are the Kyosho Turbo Optima and the Tamiya Avante. I just started collecting them about 6 months ago, so I have a lot to get up to!!! ;)

WE WANT PICTURES!!!!
NO PICTURES... NO BRAGGING RIGHTS!!!!!!!

Crashtest33 25-03-2013 10:38 PM

Can a moderator make this a sticky?!
This is the guts of what we do. (My pics coming as soon as a few cars are finished)

The (only) vintage stuff I still own at the moment:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Tamiya Dyna Storm (Re-Release) with some customizing on it:

The vintage stuff I have owned (but sold):
-------------------------------------------------------------
Renault Alpine A110 (Tamiya M-02):

http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=80816

-------------------------------------------------------------
http://tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.a...1344_6_350.jpg
http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=116025

-------------------------------------------------------------
Kyosho Maxxum FF:

I currently still own a Scorcher chassis (currently still in bits) and another Dyna Storm which I run at vintage races. I have owned many more vintage vehicles (some of them are in my TamiyaClub showroom (link), many of them are not), but my vintage collecting is over for now. I don't run them due to either rarity or lack of electronics/money and time... so they're better off at the homes where they've gone to, and I had fun restoring and owning them :)

My own version of the RC10 Timeline, they'll never be mint, like some of the others on here, but I'm happy :)

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps26e94ae3.jpg

Yes, some of them still need cleaning up and proper assembly!

CAT3K 26-03-2013 02:21 PM

Here's where i store my much reduced collection, an 8'x8' box room.

Most still need completed in some way. I might take a group shot one day, if i ever get some of them finished ;)

Thank you for the kind comments, the wheel are made by JPS (a US company), you might see the odd set pop up on eBay from time to time but getting hold of then new from the manufacturer is pretty much a none starter these days.

Some of my cars old and my current ones too. The optima is still stripped down but ive run out of time right now to finish it off. All the others are in a running condition and most have electric's in them, the Evo gets used a few times a year and i love driving her old school fun and fairly quick still.

Not entirely sure what's "vintage" these days but these are oldish.

Dyna Storm Original with genuine Tamiya carbon chassis:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ed02Custom.jpg

Top Force Evolution:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...vo01Custom.jpg

Super Astute:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...SANIBSmall.jpg

And and Egress, I have two of these NIB, this one is to be built when I get the time:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...230_194115.jpg

M01, M03 and M05 (not so old) Mini's:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../MiniSet01.jpg

And a small selection of motors:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10492238/NIBVintageMotors.jpg

Not as healthy as some collections but it covers my favorites.

Well here are my humble beginnings into collecting.

My Restored tamiya Dynastorm, has many Nimrod racing carbon parts fitted.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps8a1da700.jpg

Restored Kyosho Optima, this car is pretty much built from NIP parts, very little of the legacy donor car remain, a total queen.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/SAM_0296.jpg

The housewives favourite, a '94 YOKOMO YZ10, again, car is 99% new and im mounting a spares back up so i can run it, not with the Masami shell on mind :p
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psb3f965ac.jpg

Tamiya Monster Beetle......bought as it TBH, its mint, very lovely, not a car I'm head over heels for, but its a looker for sure.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e/SAM_0308.jpg

Cant really include my Avante as its a 2011, but there will be more to come, I'm kinda hooked now.........so looking into RC10 and older Losi's.
