Thanks all, ended up taking a punt and gave the diff a near enough full turn. Looks like it had loosened whilst breaking in and was probably too loose from the build. Plenty of punch now ! Thanks...

Was it quite high pitched? Looking at the pads there looks to be a really shiny surface. I checked the diff so carefully but I guess it could have loosened after breaking in?
