The combination of high grip and high power means that ball diffs tend to go crunchy very quickly. So gear diffs tend to last longer between rebuild and easier to set consistently.

I swapped the ball studs on the hub with those on...

I swapped the ball studs on the hub with those on the inner camber link - yes they are too long on the inside but they don't catch on anything and it saves buying new ball studs!

yeah its a shame for some folks, especially those that just run on carpet or indoor astro; I think their (TLR) reasoning is that that the dirt laydown conversion covers a wider range of track...
