The only time I've had that has been when I've not had chance to clean the car after a wet meeting, but it's only surface rust and cleans straight off. Is the room humid at all?

When I clean my cars I give them a brush down with a brush that has wd40 or any other maintenance spray on it, if they is too much on I have another 'clean' brush with no spray on to take off the excess.

This seems to leave a thin layer on the parts and protects them from cosmetic rust you are seeing. It also makes other parts shiny!

I'm not sure on the ally driveshafts , I'm not sure if they would stand the power these days.

Mip may do some shiny ones tho, check DMS as they bring them into the uk

What tracks do you run them on? Indoors or outdoors?

Hi, i had the same problem with my B44. I contacted a friend who can re chemically blacken the drive shafts, they look like new again and so far have been great. He's also done all the metal on my Schumacher CAT 3000's and Turbo Optima Mid. Check out chemical blackening on Google and it should bring up relevant companies who can do it. The company i used was in the North East .
Regards

Lee

Get some nitro cleaner on a cloth
Screw wise they do go rusty get s/s ones at about £16.00 per car
I also do use auto glyn engine cleaner and intensive tar remover a lot on mine!
