SX2 Spur gear
Managed to go threw two spurs in two races, I havnt melted them just completly grinded the teeth off them. Could it be because its meshed to tightly? I have noticed that when you look down at the car the motor seems slightly offset to the spur so if one part of the pinion was meshed correctly the other side wouldnt be could this be a problem. Help needed thanks

Most people dont do the motor clamp screws, or the mesh setting screws up tight enough.
1. change the 2mm head button screws on bottom for 2.5mm cap head screws. 2. when meshing do it in this order Motor Clamp 2 screws undereneath 1 screw on rh side. 3. check 4x8 bearings that slipper an layshaft run on as these can fail an allow slop. |

sounds like dodgy mesh to me.
I've done 2 races without blowing the spur after forgetting to do up the 2 2mm's up underneath lol. Good job I did that one on the side really tight. |

sounds to me like the motors isn't in its mount properly, should be square to face of spur gear, and make sure mesh is slightly tighter than you would normally run,
