To be fair I think the original ZX5 plastic wasn't the best when it's cold!

Try boiling the plastics for about 10 mins then letting them cool in the water till back at room temp.

Stress relieves the mouldings and makes them more robust.

The later Kyosho plastics (SP / FS) seems to be nearly unbreakable!!!

it's only the wishbones and uprights that don't fit ..... diff cases, shock towers, shock tower mounts etc. etc. all do fit.

To be honest the ZX5-SP is such a huge step forward in handling I really don't understand why Kyosho are still using the original parts for the RTR ..... surely econommies of scale will have to take hold soon and they will change the suspension arrangement to SP/FS .... well lets hope!

What is the difference in the rtr and sp wishbones? am i right in thinking that the sp wishbones are a bit longer and wont accomodate the rtr shafts?? could i get them to fit my rtr if i bought sp shafts aswell??

Simple reply = no.

The only way to make the SP wishbones fit is to do all the SP upgrades. The driveshafts are nearly as much as an RTR
